USAC Elections

The Undergraduate Business Society prompts every student to vote in the current USAC elections.

Bruins United believes that the strength of the student body lies in the diversity of our identities, backgrounds, beliefs, and opinions. The Undergraduate Business Society believes that BU seeks to not only celebrate that diversity, but also strengthen it by representing all students equally and providing fair and open access to resources and opportunities that will ultimately allow not just UBS, but all students groups a fair and equal student government.

Check out the candidates and platforms at BruinsUnited.com. We are especially proud to have a UBS Board member, Sahil Seth, running for Financial Supports Commissioner. Vote for Sahil to have a strong business minded candidate for Financial Supports Commissioner and a candidate who will specifically support UBS for the future. Also, examine at his running mates Raquel Saxe and Allyson Taylor. Both advocate for lower fees and costs, while upholding a strong culture and diversity among campus.

Voting takes place on my.ucla.edu or at www.BruinsUnited.com from now until Thursday at 6pm, and takes no more than 30 seconds. Please take the time to educate yourself on the issues and vote. Have a great week.

“So You Want To Be An Investment Banker?”- TOMORROW

The Undergraduate Business Society is proud to be hosting the 2012 “So You Want to be an Investment Banker” Forum!

Have you ever heard of Investment Banking? Have you ever wondered what Investment Banking is? Do you know how it differs from Consulting and Accounting? Do you want to learn what the life of a Investment Banker is like? What different industries bankers are exposed to? How to recruit and land that dream internship?

The UBS Investment Banking Forum is the perfect place to get answers to all these questions and any others that you have, from the most broad (What’s Investment Banking?) to the most specific (What was the last case Citi worked on?).

The event will be held on May 8th from 5 to 7 p.m in Royce 164. Come ask questions to our Investment Banking Directors who have all secured full-time banking offers (Imperial Capital, Houlihan Lokey, UBS, and Citigroup). This panel will first give an overview of their firms; they will then speak about their experience in Investment Banking. The majority of the time will be recruiting based but we will have ample time for you to ask them questions at the end.

“So You Want to Be an Investment Banker?”

The “So You Want to Be an Investment Banker?” info session involves a panel of graduating seniors who have already secured a full-time position with some of the most prestigious firms in the investment banking industry. This event entails a presentation given by the panel, followed by an extensive question and answer session. This is the perfect opportunity for underclassmen entering their next year of school to learn more about this possible career path, as well as provides an opportunity for students to ask questions that they might not be able to ask recruiters.
