Consulting for seniors
UBS welcomes UCLA’s seniors to learn more about the intricacies of the consulting industry as well as the rigorous case interview process, just in time for full time recruiting. Participating firms will be stationed throughout the forum to meet with seniors seeking full-time employment opportunities. This event is highly recommended for any incoming seniors interested in breaking into the consulting industry.
Investment Banking Night
This event brings together industry-leading investment banks to provide an opportunity for students to interact and network with recruiters from these prestigious firms. This event allows seniors to learn more about the full-time recruiting process, and gives juniors a chance to acquaint themselves with the industry and firm representatives. Past Investment Banking Nights have had up to 20 investment banks in attendance, ranging from bulge bracket banks such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Moelis, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, UBS, Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank, and more.
Consulting Night
The Consulting Fair brings over twenty of the most prestigious consulting firms to UCLA and gives students the rare and unique opportunity to network firsthand with experienced recruiters. Firms in attendance this past year include: Bain & Company, Deloitte Consulting, Mercer, LEK Consulting, ZS Associates, DaVita, Inc., Triage Consulting, Cornerstone Research, Accenture, Navigant Consulting, FTI Consulting, and Cognizant.
Financial Services Night
An event in which myriad of firms from across the financial services industry come in to network with students and educate them about the many different careers in the financial sector. It is designed to provide each firm with a venue to emphasize their unique role within their industry, as well as an opportunity to interact with the most qualified applicants. This gives many UCLA students an exposure to financial professions, both highly popular and less recognized, that they might not receive in the classroom. Past attendees include Blackrock, PIMCO, Fidelity, Prudential Investments, UBS Private Bank, and many more.
Investment Banking Workshop Series
The Investment Banking Workshop Series is a hands-on, 6-week workshop, where up to 25 pre-selected students can interact with various firms, week by week, in a much, smaller, more personal setting. This gives the most qualified students at UCLA to gain face-time with top investment banks, and get their foot in the door for the investment banking industry. Furthermore, UBS utilizes both students who have received full-time banking offers, and trained recruiting professionals to provide workshop participants with educational workshops in resume writing abilities, networking tactics, and interviewing. Additionally, several workshop sessions focus on the more technical, corporate finance-based nature of the competitive investment banking interviews.

This gives the most qualified students at UCLA to gain face-time with recruiters, establish their presence in the recruiting cycle, and gain a valuable foothold into consulting industry. Several workshop sessions focus on the more technical, case-based aspect of rigorous consulting interviews.
cUBS Program
cUBS is the UBS mentorship program. Underclassmen choose and are matched with UBS Board members, who then act as a mentor in providing guidance for the underclassman’s professional career. Mentors help guide their mentee’s knowledge of the recruitment landscape by offering them resume revisions, networking opportunities, and personal advice. This program also serves as a means for underclassmen to get more actively involved with UBS, and get an early start on building a professional network.

Financial Services Workshop Series
The Undergraduate Business Society’s Financial Services Workshop Series is geared towards giving UCLA’s undergraduate business students a leg up on the competition. With seven weekly workshops focused on providing useful tips and information to UCLA’s undergrads, the workshops will be an incredible resource to incoming freshman and graduating seniors alike. With educational seminars on “How to be a Successful UCLA Business Student”, “Technical Skills 101: Excel Workshop”, and industry seminars on everything from Wealth Management to Real Estate, these workshops will provide students with all the information needed.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
UBS’ acclaimed Career Development Workshop equips UCLA students with the skills and tools they need to guide themselves through the recruiting process. Resume workshops, cover letter advice, interview tips, and many other advisory tools are provided by those who have successfully completed recruiting process and have with a clear understanding how to teach others to do the same. At the end of these workshops, students are fully prepared to thrive during recruiting season.
Media & Entertainment Night
Media and Entertainment Night is one of the most prestigious Career Fairs for the Entertainment Industry at UCLA. The goal of Media and Entertainment Night is to connect UCLA students with Entertainment, Marketing, Public Relations, Sports, and Agency firms from across the Greater Los Angeles area. This program benefits the UCLA Community by providing internship and job opportunities to Bruins, as well as raising awareness of the various industries in attendance. The program is designed to attract students of all Grade Levels with an interest in Media and Entertainment. Any student who attends this program will benefit by networking with the firms in attendance and learning about the Media and Entertainment industry.
Spring Quarter
UBS Stock Market Challenge
Over 500 students enter and participate in our annual campus-wide stock market challenge. Students form teams and are given a portfolio to manage. After a designated deadline, the team with the highest returns on their portfolio is awarded with a prize. This challenge serves a friendly competition and a learning experience in which students enhance their analytical and interpersonal skills.

The “So You Want to Be a Consultant?” info session involves a panel of graduating seniors who have already secured a full-time position with some of the most prestigious firms in the country. This event entails a presentation given by the panel, followed by an extensive question and answer session. This is the perfect opportunity for underclassmen entering their next year of school to learn more about this possible career path, as well as provides an opportunity for students to ask questions that they might not be able to ask recruiters.

UBS Case competition
UCLA undergraduate teams compete in the largest case competition at UCLA, presenting a challenging business case to a panel of judges from sponsoring firms. This year marks the first year of our brand new case competition, whereby each case team will be backed by a student group on campus, ranging from business fraternities to engineering societies, making this a particularly diverse competition. Eight teams will receive their case and analyze the case over the next three days. UBS will select four out of those eight, who will present to firms on the day of the competition.
