The Undergraduate Business Society’s Financial Services Workshop Series is currently in its first year but will continue to be offered as part of UBS’s annual Winter Quarter workshop series. This workshop is geared towards giving UCLA’s undergraduate business students a leg up on the competition. With six weekly workshops focused on providing useful tips and information to UCLA’s undergrads, the workshops will be an incredible resource to incoming freshman and graduating seniors alike. Educational seminars on “Careers in Finance”, “Technical Skills 101: Excel Workshop”, and seminars on everything from Financial Statements to Market Analysis provide you with all the information you wish you had learned in your classes.
UBS brings in featured speakers for each individual seminar, as past workshop presenters have included distinguished UCLA faculty as well as financial services firms such as Blackrock, PIMCO, and Luminous Capital. The FS Workshop traditionally takes around 50 applicants. Workshop members must apply online through BruinView during the beginning of Winter Quarter (sign up on the ListServ to get updates).
